Why cacao instead of fluoride?
Most toothpaste uses fluoride. Theodent® uses Rennou®, a patented active ingredient whose key compound comes from cacao, the fruit that is better known for what it becomes: chocolate. Rennou® is not harmful if accidentally swallowed, and in a randomized, double-blind study, its key compound remineralized enamel at concentrations 71 times lower than fluoride (Caries Research, 2013).

Clinically proven
Read the peer-reviewed research that demonstrates the safety and efficacy of Rennou® when compared directly to fluoride.

Every ingredient earns its place
Rennou® gets the attention, but the same care goes into everything around it. Every Theodent® formula is built to be as clean as possible. Read about every ingredient and its purpose in our formulas.
